When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number and what you tell us. For an organisation, we may also collect its name and approximate number of staff. We record the page the enquiry came from, the connection’s IP address and the browser’s user-agent string so that we can identify automated misuse of the form.
Please do not include diagnoses, test results or other private clinical detail in an enquiry. Tell us briefly what you need and we will contact you through an appropriate channel.
Information created through your care
If you are a patient, we hold the health records produced through your care, together with the identifying and contact details needed to file them correctly. This may include information about dependants registered under your account.
Health information is special personal information under POPIA. We use it to provide care and meet our professional and legal duties. When an employer has commissioned a medical assessment, we report the required fitness outcome for the work concerned; we do not provide the employer with your clinical record.
Who can see it
Your released records are available to you through the patient portal and to practice staff who need them for their work. Access to a document is recorded against the account that opened it. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Health records are kept for at least six years after the last consultation, in line with guidance from the Health Professions Council of South Africa, and longer where a person’s age, the nature of the record or another legal requirement calls for it. Website enquiries are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
What you can ask us to do
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is wrong, and object to processing that is not required for your care or by law. Email reception@lifeistruehealth.co.za. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing a record.
If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Cookies and browser storage
The public pages do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores your light, dark or system theme choice so that the site can remember it. If you sign in, the portal stores session tokens and basic account details in this browser so that your session can continue between pages and reloads. Signing out removes that stored session from the browser.
Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes the saved theme and session information. These browser values are used to operate the site and portal, not to track you across other websites.
